Motor Transport Unit

Officers and police personnel are deployed in the Motor Traffic Department for various tasks. It includes two-wheeler and four-wheeler vehicles and drivers. They are deployed for traffic management, driver training, and vehicle repairs.

Purchasing new vehicles and scrapping old vehicles. Purchasing spare parts, fuel, and lubricants for vehicles.

Provision of security and patrol vehicles to police stations and other branches/departments and provision of pilots, escorts, and other vehicles during VIP visits. Also maintains all vehicles.

The unit ensures proper record-keeping and documentation of all vehicles under its jurisdiction. This includes maintenance schedules, fuel usage, and vehicle allocation.

Regular inspections and audits are conducted to ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and meet the necessary safety standards.
